Three-section telescopic arm

Telescopic arm mainly consists of a fixed body, sliding body, steel wire rope and a telescopic cylinder. By changing the number of sliding bodies, an ideal working radius and vertical excavation range can be achieved. Generally used in combination with a bucket, it can complete deep pit excavation tasks, such as grabbing soil , sand or coal.

Telescopic boom frequently is used in hard tasks.

Q1. What is the length of the telescopic boom? Is it the total length of the boom?
A1. The length of the two-stage telescopic boom refers to the excavation depth. For example, the 14m telescopic boom refers to the maximum excavation depth of 14m, not the boom length of 14m.

Q2. How to judge the length of telescopic boom that can be made for different models?
A2. Because the length of the telescopic boom is directly related to the length of the boom. We should ensure that the telescopic boom will not touch the bridge when it is placed on the ground.

Q3. Do I need to modify the original machine when installing the telescopic boom? Are there any precautions?
A3. The original machine needs three sets of pipes. We need to replace the original one-way foot switch with a two-way foot switch to achieve the telescopic function. The other operations are the same. The more important thing is balance and safety. Try to avoid the 90 degree operation between the cab and the track shoe.

Q4. Note and maintenance of telescopic arm
A4. 1st, telescopic arm does not allow inclined excavation. 2nd, it can't dig hard things but only soft soil. 3rd, it is not allowed to jack or hoist when the smallest arm is not fully retracted. 4th, the end can't lift things more than 1 ton, which are easy to bend the telescopic arm. If so, no warranty. 5th, telescopic boom shall be greased every day, and the boom barrel shall be greased at least once a week to keep the boom barrel full of butter.
